Chizzy reaches semis
Dave Chisnall reached the semi-final of the latest PDC Players’ Championship event in Crawley on Sunday.
The fast-rising Morecambe darts ace had an excellent run to the last four at the K2 Centre before losing 6-1 to eventual winner Michael van Gerwen.
Chizzy defeated Andy Jenkins, Prakash Jiwa and Adam Hunt to set up a quarter-final clash with Robert Thornton, which the Morecambe man won 6-3.
In-form Dutch star van Gerwen proved too strong however meaning Chisnall picked up a £2,000 cheque after another good day’s work.
In Saturday’s first event of the weekend double header at the K2, Chisnall reached the fourth round before being knocked out 6-3 by Dennis Priestley.
