Morecambe’s newest professional boxer will step through the ropes for his second fight in the paid ranks next month.

Former Skerton ABC man Reece MacMillan made the perfect start to his pro career with a stoppage win over Giuseppe Daprato at the Macron Stadium in Bolton on April 23.

The hard-hitting welterweight will next be in action at the Preston Guild Hall on June 18 as part of his trainer Johnney Roye’s MGM Manchester ‘Night of the Champions’ show.

For tickets, priced £35 or £55 with food, call MacMillan on 07469 924248.

Elsewhere, Morecambe’s Commonwealth featherweight champion Isaac Lowe is hoping to secure a spot on good friend Tyson Fury’s undercard when the world heavyweight champion faces Wladimir Klitschko in a rematch at the Manchester Arena on July 9.

Lowe is back in full training with corner men Jimmy Harrington and Dave Hulley in Doncaster.
