Heysham fell to a five-wicket defeat at home to Sedgwick in Division One of the Westmorland Cricket League on Saturday.
The hosts were bowled out for 156 at Carr Lane with Sedgwick finishing on 158-5.
The visitors won the toss and elected to bowl with Portmann (4-32) and Mathews (3-27) ripping through the Heysham top six with the score reaching just 35.
Antcliffe (21) took the sting out of the attack while Whincup (46) looked to attack the bowling and with Dixon (26) adding valuable runs batting at 10, Heysham had made a respectable total.
In reply, Heysham struck early with Calverley (1-24) bowling well but after he left the attack injured Robinson(33) and Wilacy (33 not out) helped Sedgwick make light work of the Heysham total as they chased down the runs with 21 overs remaining.
On Sunday, Heysham bounced back with a win at Trimpell in the Hackney & Leigh Cup.
This looked a potential banana skin and nearly proved the case with Heysham posting 158-8 from their allotted overs before they narrowly getting over the line.
