Gary Wolstenholme finished tied for 30th at the ISPS Handa PGA Seniors Championship at the weekend.
The former amateur star carded a four-round total of two under par at the De Vere Mottram Hall in Cheshire.
An opening two under par 71 placed Wolstenholme just outside the top 10 before he slipped down to 17th following a solid level par 73 on Friday.
Rounds of 72 and 74 over the weekend completed a consistent tournament for the 52-year-old.
England’s Paul Wesselingh won the event for the second year in succession carding a flawless final round of 64 to finish 20 under par, four shots clear of Paraguay’s Angel Franco.
Ian Woosnam applied the pressure early in the final round on his way to posting a 65 and a third-place finish.
At the end of May, Wolstenholme missed the cut at his first official event of the year, the US Senior PGA Championship.
A pair of 74s meant he missed the weekend’s action by two shot at the Bellerive Country Club in Missouri.
He will be next in action at the Speedy Services Wales Senior Open at the Royal Porthcawl Golf Club in Bridgend from June 14 to 16.
