Slideshow: Tough Test for drivers

Morecambe Car Club members have been taking part in one of rallying’s toughest challenges.

(Quernmore) before an overnight halt in Windermere – providing a much needed rest for the hard-worked crews. Sunday morning dawned to a sunrise and blue sky, however, the crews still had plenty of hard work to do on a route traversing the Lyth Valley and lanes around Levens and Killington before heading east and eventually the rally finish in Harrogate.

The Mini, previously owned by Morecambe Car Club's Roy Mapple, was driven by Steve Entwistle/Bob Hargreaves at the annual Rally of the Tests last week. The duo finished in ninth place.

Sadly the teams of Frank Fennell/Kevin Savage and Dermot Carnegie/Paul Bosdet succumbed to retirements.

The rally was won by Paul Wignall/Mark Appleton (Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint) Total: 17:46.
