SLIDESHOW: Mixed fortunes for Lancaster and Morecambe

Lancaster and Morecambe Mens’ first team cemented their place at the top of the Barrington Sports North West Hockey League Division One with an 8-1 victory over struggling Manchester at the weekend.

The win puts them nine points clear of Oxton with Morecambe travelling to Merseyside this Saturday in a top of the table clash.

With only a few weeks of the season remaining it represents a crucial game with Morecambe looking for promotion to North Hockey for the first time in the club’s history.

One meeting between high fliers didn’t go so well for the club’s second team however at the University of Cumbria on Saturday.
