A solid batting display from Leyland proved too much for Lancaster on Saturday as they slid to a 62-run loss.
Ben Simm elected to field on winning the toss with Liam Moffat trapping Chris Parkinson for nine.
Lancashire’s Luis Reece got into his stride early on but professional Michael Barry got his wicket, the prize scalp, for 31.
Leyland continued to chance their arm through Thomson and Tom Reece but Simm got the breakthrough as Thompson chipped to Barry at long-on for 55.
Lancaster had struggled to control the younger Reece before Alex Metcalfe forced him to chop onto his stumps with Andrew Makinson and Karl Cross then being pinned leg before. Nathan McDonnell became Metcalfe’s fourth before Simm too claimed late wickets as he removed James Rounding and David Makinson.
Makinson called his men in at 192-9 to claim two extra overs that they wouldn’t need.
The Lancaster innings started in the worst possible fashion as Simm was clean bowled first ball of the innings to Karl Cross.
Jamie Heywood and Michael Barry rebuilt with the New Zealand professional looking in little trouble throughout his face saving innings.
Heywood then gave Will Jacques his first of the afternoon before Charlie Swarbrick, Danny Welbourne and Metcalfe fell in quick succession.
The returning Lee Sparks struck four boundaries but was cleaned up by Jacques as Barry brought up another 50.
Luis Reece then removed tIain Burstow before claiming the prize of Barry for 62. The end came swiftly as Lancaster fell well short with the bat once again.
