WE ARE only half way through this years racing season in the karting world yet local boy Liam Morley of Carnforth has already taken the racing by storm.
Following the National Open Championship for long circuit at Oulton Park back in May, Morley upped his game with a new lap record being set. This was some five seconds faster than the previous record set in 2007.
British GP winner Morley showed impressive form by qualifying in pole position by 2.9 seconds from second place.
Come the race, he drove away from his competitors and won by a comfortable 16 seconds.
Morley was then back on the podium again in June for the Short Circuit Open Championship at Shenington.
