John McGuinness was fastest in superbike practice at the Isle of Man TT on Thursday night.
The Morecambe Missile, a 19-time race winner on the island, clocked a speed of 129.32mph on the Mountain Course as he posted the first and third quickest laps.
There was relief on the island as at the fourth time of asking practice got underway as planned at the 2013 festival in ideal conditions.
McGuinness’ opening lap was a more leisurely 120.25 as he stopped briefly at Ballacraine before he upped the pace to 129.07 and then 129.32.
Kiwi Bruce Anstey was the other man to break the 129mph barrier posting 129.14.
