Lancaster and Morecambe are all set to do battle in their second Bank Holiday Monday derby of the season.

Both teams have had a frustrating time in the Northern Premier League Division One but will be fired up for the Lune Road clash on August 25.

Bragging rights will be up for grabs after the first game of the season at Woodhill Lane at the end of May ended in a thrilling tie.

Ben Simm’s Lancaster sit third from bottom of the table but have seen their batting improve in recent weeks, New Zealand professional Michael Barry hitting 94 in their winning draw against Preston on Saturday.

Morecambe on the other hand sit three places higher after having their free weekend.

Both sides are in action before the bank holiday battle on Saturday and face tough tasks.

Tommy Clough’s Morecambe travel to top of the table Blackpool while Lancaster visit second in the table Leyland.

Morecambe will play their remaining five games away from Woodhill Lane as work is carried out on the club’s drainage.

The club’s second team will play the rest of their home games at Lancaster Royal Grammar School.
