Lancaster Nomads 1sts got back to winning ways in the Lancashire Central Women’s Hockey Association Division 1 with a 2-0 win over Clitheroe and Blackburn Northern Ladies 3rds.

The Nomads took an early lead with a penalty corner strike from Amy Leck and quickly doubled their advantage when a saved Hazel Irwin strike was followed up by Sarah Hampson.

Nomads continued their attacking play into the second half, hitting the post twice and having some sustained periods of possession. 
The win takes them up to third in the table ahead of facing unbeaten top of the table side Springfields Ladies 3rds this Saturday.

Lancaster Nomads 2s were 1-0 winners in local their derby against Lancaster Ladies 5s.

Nikki Morton and player of the match Hannah Chetwynd-Diggle went close only to be denied by 5s ‘keeper Clare Bicknell before Morton opened the scoring.

The Nomads kept up the pressure in the second period but had to settle for victory by a single goal.
