CARNFORTH entertained a Lancaster side fresh from their seven-run victory over Blackpool at Lodge Quarry.
Lancaster’s Dwayne Hees, a South African all rounder made his debut for the visitors.
Hees was run out by Robert Parker after making 18 and with Gareth Pedder bowling Lancaster skipper Michael Stevens for a duck the visitors were soon on the back foot.
Pedder, the Carnforth professional, went on to take four for 26 and with Matt Weller and Warren Quinn each weighing in with two wickets Lancaster struggled to 112.
Carnforth openers Ryan Nelson and skipper Adam Hornby, who both missed the opening day defeat at Preston, then posted 101 for the first wicket before the latter was caught behind off Tim Barry for 42.
Nelson was undefeated on 62 as the home side won by nine wickets.
