PATRICK Miller, representing Lancaster Boys ABC, won the National Junior ABA finals in spectacular fashion in Kent on Saturday evening.
His opponent Jack Taylor from Coombe Martin Boxing Club in Devon had qualified for the final with relative ease, but he was no match for the more powerful Miller.
In front of a large expectant audience, the occasionally slow starter Miller wasted no time in getting to work.
After only 30 seconds of stalking his foe he landed four crushing rights to Taylor’s head knocking him completely off balance, and forcing the referee to administer a standing eight count.
With the bit now between his teeth, Miller continued the onslaught once again pounding the head with some explosive shots before moving down to the body.
One right to the ribcage sent Taylor to the canvas and the referee called a halt to the fight without even starting the count, all within the first 120 seconds.
