Lancaster Tennis Club’s Under 17s edged closer to the Fylde League title with a comfortable 5-1 win over Hambleton’s 2nd team on Saturday.

Captain Tom Bowe led the way with a comprehensive win over the visiting captain, and there were also victories for Harry Waddington and Joseph Hester on his season’s debut after injury.

Ronan McGrath lost a tight match on a championship tie break 13-11, but was successful in his doubles match alongside Tom, as were Harry and Joseph who only lost one game in their straight sets victory.

With two games to go in the season, the squad can clinch the title with victory over title rivals Hambleton next Saturday.

Manager Alan Main has announced a strong line up with Tom Bowe joined by Elliot Gardner, Dan Main and new signing Oliver MacNeil.
