A true legend of boxing is coming to town for Sunday lunch.
Sugar Ray Leonard will be guest of honour at a luncheon at Lancaster and Morecambe College on Sunday, March 17 where guests will hear stories of his amazing fight career.
Fans can also meet and have their photo taken with the American superstar.
Carnforth comedian Lester Crabtree will provide the laughs and host the event.
Sugar Ray Leonard’s rise to superstardom saw him win Olympic light welterweight gold in 1976 at the Montreal games. Leonard’s professional career saw him fight 40 times, winning 36 of those bouts with 25 KOs. He lost only three contests and drew one bout.
Sugar Ray had 13 major world title fights, defeating fellow legends like Roberto Duran, Tommy Hearns and Marvin Hagler.
Leonard’s appearance comes hot on the heels of the fantastic boxing night at the college with Nigel Benn earlier this month.
