IN the R M Fisher/Howson Remembrance Cup second round, Morecambe Royals Reserves and College AFC Reserves were both missing key players for this game.
The game started with a bang as the Morecambe Royals took an early lead through Luke Suligowski.
From then to the half-time break the game was poor, neither side could sustain any kind of possession.
The Royals increased their lead in the second half to 3-0 with goals from Dan Fairbrother and the experienced Nick Edmonds.
The game appeared to be over until the College side capitalised on two free kicks, both expertly taken by Gordon Love.
This put College into the ascendancy and had the Division One side hanging on at times, but the equaliser never came.
In the third round the Royals will be away to Division Two leaders Carnforth Rangers Reserves.
