Lancaster City head coach Darren Peacock admits he is raring to get started with pre-season at Giant Axe.
The Dolly Blues squad return to training two weeks today on Thursday, June 20.
The former Newcastle United and Blackburn Rovers defender said: “I can’t wait to be honest.
“I’ve been speaking to few of the lads, the senior players, about what we’re going to be doing and I’m really looking forward to it.
“It’ll be Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and we want to make it as professional as we can.”
Peacock is also pleased with recent meetings he has had with potential new recruits.
He said: “We’ve been speaking to players from this level and higher and experienced ones with 300 games under their belts.
“There’ll hopefully be a few more over the next week and we’ll see what we’ve got come June 20.
“Negotiations take time, but that’s football.”
The Dolly Blues have announced their latest pre-season friendly.
Peacock’s side will travel to Welsh Premier League side Bangor City on Saturday, July 20 in a 2pm kick-off.
