Have your say

We had some mixed feelings coming off the field after the 1-0 defeat to Northwich Victoria at Giant Axe on Saturday.

It was obviously disappointing to lose a game that we should have taken something from but we’ve got to look to the positives.

Northwich are third in the table and we’ve more than matched them over two games in recent weeks, winning one and losing one.

On Saturday, they may have had a penalty which Mike Hale saved really well but by and large I think we had the better chances.

They just took one of theirs and we didn’t.

We can’t afford to dwell on it because our tough run carries on at fourth in the table Scarborough on Saturday.

They’re a big club with designs on promotion and it will be a long trip over to Yorkshire.

We’re still upbeat though despite losing on Saturday.

When we went in at full-time the gaffer (Darren Peacock) and Trev (Sinclair) weren’t overly critical.

They said we’d worked hard, which we did, and just hadn’t got the result we probably deserved.

We’ve got to keep our heads up and we go to Scarborough on Saturday knowing that we usually do well against the top sides in the division.

We’ve seen in the games against Northwich and others that we’re good enough.

The fixture list hasn’t been kind to us. I think we’ve got to play all the top 10 teams in the division between now and the end of the season.

But we’ve had a good 2015 and we enjoy testing ourselves.

I confident we’ll come out the other side of it in a better position than when we started.
