It was a hot, sunny day for once and a good result for Lancaster City U18.

City started slowly but won a penalty after just five minutes.

Zak Cannar was tripped inside the area and the referee gave the penalty which Harrison Turner neatly converted with a drive into the bottom corner.

This put Lancaster into their stride and City’s forwards had a few chances but could not take them. However, before half-time, there was a corner for City for which a scramble in the box gave Luke Bradley the chance to slot home the second goal.

In the second half several changes were made with Luke Bradley going back up front with Sean Sailor and Arron Jones.

The side looked more balanced and the team started to play better. Half way through the second half Sean Sailor scored the third goal.

Lancaster then were in full control having a few more chances and hitting the bar.
