Lancaster City’s FA Trophy preliminary round replay at Bamber Bridge has been called off for safety reasons.

The pitch at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium is playable but officials have deemed damage to one of the stands in Tuesday’s bad weather means the game should be called off.

Bamber Bridge’s official Twitter account posted: “Tonight’s game is OFF pitch is playable but structural damage to one end and officials have declared a safety risk. Apologies everyone.”

The sides drew 1-1 at Giant Axe on Saturday after Andy Bell’s stoppage time equaliser for Brig.

The replay has been rescheduled for next Tuesday, October 28.
