TONY Hesketh believes his Lancaster City side need to pick themselves up and go on another winning run after their excellent form came to an abrupt halt at Durham.
The Dolly Blues lost 5-3 on Tuesday night having gone into the game with six wins in a row in all competitions.
The defeat leaves City 10 points behind leaders Curzon Ashton but Hesketh feels his side are still well in the title hunt.
He said: “We’ve had a great run but that’s come to an end now and now we start again.
“We need to put seven or eight games together and if we do we’re still very much in amongst the play-off places and I still haven’t lost sight of the top of the league.”
After a 2-1 victory at Garforth on Saturday, City found themselves 3-0 down at Durham before a Danny Hattersley brace helped the Dolly Blues pull the game back to 4-3 before a late goal for the home side put the game out of reach.
