LANCASTER City boss Tony Hesketh has committed himself to the club, despite the advances of big-spending rivals AFC Fylde.
The Coasters were granted permission to talk to Hesketh about replacing Kelham O’Hanlon but the City boss decided his future is at the Giant Axe.
Fylde appointed Colwyn Bay boss Dave Challinor as their new manager yesterday, Wednesday, November 2, to replace O’Hanlon who left the club by mutual consent last week.
The former Tranmere defender has elected to drop two divisions to take the post having been an integral part of the Welsh club’s back-to-back promotions.
He guided them to promotion to the Blue Square Bet North last season and captained them in their 1-0 Evo-Stik First Division North play-off final victory over the Dolly Blues at the Giant Axe in May last year.
