LANCASTER City assistant manager Phil Brown maintains the Dolly Blues have not given up on reaching the play-offs.
After the 4-1 victory at home to Harrogate Railway on Saturday and goalless draw at Leigh Genesis on Tuesday evening, City now find themselves tenth in the league, thirteen points off the play-off places.
Brown said: “We haven’t given up hope of making the play-offs. We are rebuilding and it will be extremely difficult as we’ll have to win something like 12 out of our last 16 games but the teams above us are dropping points.
“AFC Fylde dropped two more on Tuesday night and Chorley only got a last–minute winner. Teams aren’t flying at the top.
“As long as it’s still mathematically possible we’re quite capable of putting a run of results together and winning half a dozen games on the spin.”
