Morecambe have made wide man Marcus Marshall their second signing of the summer.
The former Rotherham and Bury forward has signed a two-year deal at the Globe Arena.
The 23-year-old, who came through the ranks at Blackburn Rovers, made only a handful of appearances for the Greater Manchester side after arriving at Gigg Lane last summer and spent the majority of the season on loan at Grimsby.
He said: “I’ve always wanted to work with Jim.
“He works well with youngsters and thinks he can get the best out of me.
“There were a few other offers but this is the best for me.”
Macclesfield defender Tony Diagne is the other new arrival at the Globe Arena this summer.
