Morecambe are now five League 2 games without a win after a goalless draw with Bradford on New Year's Day.
The result did extend Jim Bentley's side's unbeaten home run in league and cup to nine but means they haven't picked up maximum points since November 24 and are turning in to something of draw specialists.
The visitors looked most likely to find a winner in the second half, but came up against some resolute Shrimps defending.
The opening stages were full of endeavour from both sides but in reality the game struggled to come to life and was a scrappy affair for long periods of the opening half.
There was little action in either penalty area but The Shrimps did have a penalty appeal waved away on 12 minutes when Nick Fenton went down claiming he had been pushed.
It took until the 38th minute before either goalkeeper was forced into a save, Barry Roche making a routine stop from James Hanson's downward header from a Gary Jones corner.
Buoyed by a double substitution at the break, including the introduction of top goalscorer Nahki Wells, the Bantams made a fast start to the second half, Roche pulling of an excellent save at full stretch to tip Rory McArdle's header round the post on 48 minutes.
Then two minutes later the lively Wells flashed a dangerous shot across the face of the Shrimps' goal.
Jack Redshaw had The Shrimps' first opening in the second half on 64 minutes, firing wide from 15 yards as he just failed to work himself a clear sight of Matt Duke's goal.
But the Bantams always looked the more threatening and Roche had to get down low to his left to beat away a dipping Wells effort from distance with 20 minutes remaining.
Their best chance however came ten minutes from time, Hanson nodding straight into the hands of Roche when found unmarked six yards out by a Kyel Reid free-kick.
At the other end, substitute Richard Brodie, on possibly his last appearance for the club, headed over a Lewis Alessandra centre from 10 yards under pressure as The Shrimps picked up a hard-earned point.
