Morecambe FC appear to have finally completed the drawn-out transfer of Ryan Williams.
The free agent midfielder originally signed a short-term deal back in October after he had spent three months training with Jim Bentley’s side.
But paperwork issues relating to Williams moving from being an amateur to a professional out of the transfer window scuppered the deal until January.
The former Rhyl and Chester man however tweeted the deal was done on Monday afternoon.
He said: “Delighted to have signed for Morecambe! Thanks for the kind messages, looking forward to cracking on now!”
Shrimps boss Bentley had identified Wililams as likely to be his only bit of business during the January transfer window following the goalless draw with Bradford on New Year’s Day.
He could make his debut in the game against Dagenham at the Globe Arena on Tuesday night, which is free entry to all supporters, after signing a deal until the end of the season.
