Leaders Bowerham held by Storeys

IN the Premier Division of the Baines Bagguley North Lancashire and District League, only two games took place due to various cup matches.

Leaders Bowerham/Furness entertained Storeys in a hard fought game.

Bowerham had the better chances but some dour defending limited Bowerham’s chances.

Storeys on the other hand hardly created any worthwhile chances of their own.

As the game petered towards the final whistle Storeys had a player sent off which was nearly fatal when Bowerham had a great chance in the last minute to take all three points, but it was missed.

Marsh United, who in recent weeks have been hit by withdrawals due to key players’ work commitments, were hit again for the visit of Carnforth Rangers.

As the game wore on it was plain to see that the Carnforth side were the stronger and ran out 2-0 winners, with goals from Christian Needham and Malaky Brookes.
