Danny Gregson was the big winner at Lancaster City’s end of year awards evening.

The central defender picked up both the Lancaster Guardian player of the year gong as well as the Joe Stephenson Memorial Trophy for having the highest marks from our reporters across the 2012-2013 season at Squires Snooker and Sports Bar on Saturday night.

He was also named supporters’ player of the year, players’ player of the year, manager’s player of the year and directors’ player of the year.

Dolly Blues captain Neil Marshall was chairman’s player of the year and the defender also picked up an award in recognition of playing 300 games for the club, a landmark he reached against Garforth Town in the penultimate game of the season.

Tom Kilifin won the club’s golden boot as top scorer and Dave Swarbrick’s January strike against Warrington was named goal of the season.

Dave Hughes was named clubman of the year.

In the under 18s the manager’s player of the year was Jordan Miller, James Fielding picked up players’ player of the year and the joint winners of the clubman of the year were Ryan McMenamin and Johannes Read.

For Lancaster City ladies, Charlotte Kingham and Georgia Lupton were joint manager’s players of the year, Sam Taylor was players’ player of the year, most improved player was Olivia Dickinson, top goal scorer was Kayleigh Young and Jenny Evans was the supporters’ player of the year.
