Garstang extended their unbeaten run to five games with a gutsy 3-3 draw at West Lancashire Premier Division high-fliers Blackpool Wren Rovers on Tuesday night.
The visitors took the lead with their first attack after 13 minutes of Wrens pressure when Fawcett tucked away a neat ball from Dodd.
Wrens continued to pile on the pressure however and equalised on 36 minutes. A clumsy challenge by Baker brought down Seear in the penalty area with the same player making no mistake from the spot.
Garstang cracked again two minutes before the break when Creelan nipped in to make it 2–1.
Iain Swan’s team talk seemed to work at half-time with the visitors levelling up through Aaron Helliwell’s penalty after Anderson was brought down in the area after a weaving run.
Former Lancaster City man Helliwell then put his side ahead five minutes later, finishing emphatically after Leon Gierke’s shot had come back off the post.
The Wrens were level 15 minutes from time however from another penalty, Baker being penalised for handball as Seear converted from 12 yards for a second time.
The visitors almost snatched all three points when Draycott’s shot hit the post and rolled across the goalline before being hacked away to safety as both sides settled for a point.
