A hat-trick from Tom Kilifin helped Lancaster City to victory in a pulsating game at Garforth on Saturday.
The striker struck twice in the opening 13 minutes to put City well in command.
But as has been their habit the Dolly Blues soon shipped their two-goal lead and the Yorkshire side were level before the break in the final game before new City head coach Darren Peacock takes charge.
Garforth then took the lead shortly after half-time but two late goals gave City the three points in a remarkable game.
First Simon Wills levelled things up before Kilifin sealed the comeback in stoppage time to all but relegate their hosts from the Evo-Stik First Division North. Garforth are six points adrift at the bottom with two games to play but have a goal difference nearly 60 worse than Goole above them.
Peacock will take Giant Axe training for the first time on Tuesday ahead of City’s final game of the season at Salford on May 4.
