Twelve-year-old COLT Junior, Lydia Shenton, delivered the first Tristar 2 win of the season at the Leigh Junior Aquathlon at the weekend, building on the success the previous weekend by nine-year-old Rhys Ashton in Tristar 1.

Lydia secured her win with a time of 13:07 for her continuous 250m swim and 1800m run following a final sprint that built on her recent solid performance in the pool with her swim club Carnforth Otters ASC.

Also delivering a superb performance was nine-year-old Thomas Dowthwaite who came in third in the Tristar 1 category that involved a 150m swim and 1200m
run.

Well done also to Sasha Oldham, Kirsty Maher and both Alexandria and Madisson Craven who all gained valuable experience for the races to follow.

COLT would like to thank Carnforth Otters ASC for providing dedicated swim training for the athletes and Lancaster and Morecambe Athletics for run training. COLT would also like to thank Technology Farm Ltd for their continued support.
