Isaac Lowe extended his unbeaten record with another crowd-pleasing win in Blackburn on Saturday night.

The Morecambe super featherweight moved to 9-0 as he won every session of his four-round contest with Lithuanian Simas Volosinas on the VIP Promotions show at the King George’s Hall.

In his first fight since May, the 20-year-old entertained on his way to a 40-36 victory on referee Mark Lyson’s card.

Carrying his hands low in the first round the resort prospect was dragged into a back and forth scrap with the tough Volosinas that grabbed the attention of a noisy Blackburn crowd which was bolstered by a healthy following from Lancaster and Morecambe.

After being read the riot act by trainer Bob Howard The Westgate Warrior was more composed in rounds two, three and four, using his speed to good affect to take a comfortable victory.

Lowe said: “It was good to be back in the ring first and foremost.

“He made me work. He was no average journeyman who just stood back. He came to fight.

“I made it harder for myself trying to please the fans with my hands down and getting stuck in.

“But I listened to Bob in the second and third (rounds) and used my boxing skills.

“It’s a learning curve and that’s what it’s all about.”

Lowe hopes to be out again before the end of 2014 as he targets titles in the next 12 months.
