Morecambe’s WBA and WBO champion, who will defend his titles in a rematch with Wladimir Klitschko on July 9 in Manchester, was less than impressed with the Olympic gold medalist’s two-round destruction of Charles Martin to lift the IBF version of the title at the O2 Arena on Saturday night.

It was a belt Fury won with his victory over Klitschko only for the IBF to quickly declare it vacant as the gypsy giant elected to pursue a rematch with the Ukrainian great rather than face his mandatory challenger.

Fury tweeted: “So AJ gets a belt, looked slow ponderous, & still looked like a bodybuilder, let me slay the lamb.”

The pair are set to clash in more ways than one in the near future with Joshua’s promoters Matchroom planning his first defence also for July 9 at Wembley stadium.

It is a weekend already packed with top-level sport with the Wimbledon singles finals, the Euro 2016 final and the British Formula One Grand Prix all taking place.

Joshua for his part believes he will take out lineal champion when the time comes.

The 26-year-old, who has won all 16 of fights by knockout, said: “I’m going to walk through Tyson Fury when’s he’s ready.

”I’m not messing around believe you me.

“Scrap all this 16-fight nonsense. I’m training hard and I mean business. I’m here to stay and I want to make some real noise in this division.”

Britain’s last undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis however believes that Joshua should bide his time when it comes to facing Fury or fellow Brit David Haye.

He tweeted: “It’s definitely not time to talk about AJ and Fury or Haye. He’s coming along well but this fight was just a good opportunity to grab a belt.

“I regard Tyson Fury as the top of the heap right now. IBF shouldn’t have stripped him. That’s why the opportunity existed.”

Fury-Klitschko II will be shown on subscription boxing channel BoxNation with an exact venue expected to be confirmed in the coming days.
