Dallam win penalty shoot-out

Dallam's young footballers kept their cool to win a Community Football tournament at Morecambe FC on Saturday.

The girls beat the team from Ripley St Thomas in a penalty shoot-out after Morecambe's match with Notts County.

The two teams had played each other at half-time in the match but had failed to score, prompting the penalty shoot-out.

The event, organised by Morecambe FC, started last Friday when a host of schools played a tournament at Heysham High.

Also taking part were teams from Skerton Community High, Carnforth High, Morecamnbe High, Heysham High and Our Lady's with Dallam and Ripley making the final.
