The Lancaster Guardian has a rich archive of old photographs kept on glass plates. The only problem is they've never been catalogued and the captions have long since disappeared so we are unable to identify many of the people, places and events we have photographed in decades past.
In an effort to solve a few mysteries, every month we will be publishing a selection of these pictures. If you can provide any information, please WRITE to Louise Bryning at the Lancaster Guardian, 29 Common Garden Street, Lancaster, LA1 1XD or email louise.bryning@
