The LANCASTER Guardian has teamed up with Preston Guild to offer two pairs of tickets to see a spectacular show starring opera greats Katherine Jenkins and Jose Carreras.

On Friday, September 7, in a world first, Katherine Jenkins, the world’s most prolific classical artist will sing with José Carreras at Proms in the Park. This one-off open-air concert will see Avenham Park transformed into an open air amphitheatre as part of the Preston Guild 2012 celebrations.

The two-hour concert will feature the two international classical stars singing solo and together in what promises to be a classical spectacular. It will undoubtedly create one of the most memorable images from the guild celebrations.

At the age of only 31, Katherine Jenkins has become an ambassador and inspiration for millions of people around the world. She is also cherished as one of Britain’s favourite singers.

As dusk falls she will take to the stage with José as he sings for the first time in the UK since 2009.

The opera superstars will be supported by Conductor David Gimenez and the 62 piece Manchester Camerata Orchestra.
