More than 30 people took part in a fun event which is helping to highlight the plight of wildlife in the Irish Sea.
Children enjoyed sand sculpting and then took part in a shore treasure hunt which was part of the Lancashire Wildlife Trust Marine Week, which stresses the importance of protecting the Irish Sea.
They sculpted jellyfish, basking shark, mermaid, oystercatcher and shark. This was followed by the
hunt for shells with holes, egg casings, man-made items, sea weeds and not-so-common sea potatoes. Smells and animals signs were also on the agenda.
The events at Half
Moon Bay, in Heysham, were part of the Morecambe
Bay A Wealth of Wildlife project.
