A GROUP of walkers are to trek across Scotland’s West Highland Way in order to raise money in memory of a late Lancaster detective.
The 97-mile journey will be made to commemorate the life of Det Insp Glen Oldham, who sadly died last November at the age of 44.
Glen, who headed Lancaster’s CID team and had been with the force for over 24 years, had been on holiday in Scotland with his wife Audrey and friends when he collapsed after suffering a fatal brain stem haemorrhage.
A team of eight former colleagues and friends, led by Audrey and Det Chief Insp Neil Gregson, will set off from Glasgow on October 21 with the aim of reaching Fort William within eight days.
