A DISABLED Lancaster woman has been left housebound after her minibus was vandalised.

Robert Wignall and his wife Julie, who suffers from multiple sclerosis, awoke to find the tyres of their minibus had been slashed and the driver’s window smashed.

The Renault Master converted minibus is Mrs Wignall’s lifeline, and she is now trapped in her home.

The couple, who live in Barley Cop Lane, also fear their insurance won’t cover the damage caused.

The red W-registered minibus has a disabled ramp to allow for 44-year-old Mrs Wignall’s wheelchair.

“My wife is lost without it,” Mr Wignall said. “It’s going to be impossible to take her out now.”
