Move over Cliff Richard, Slade, Wizzard and even The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl.

Rock ‘n’ rollers The Paul Hayes Collection have released a new Christmas song to rival all of the above – with all proceeds going to the Save Our Hospice campaign.

‘Credit Card Christmas’ is a romping, stomping tune and a real throwback to classic festive tracks from bygone years.

Paul Hayes is best known as a TV antiques expert on BBC shows Cash in the Attic and Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is.

He said: “I lost my father to lung cancer several years ago and as a tribute to him, we are donating all of the proceeds of the sale of the song to Save Our Hospice.”

Copies are available from St John’s Hospice and the Visitor and Lancaster Guardian office on Victoria Street in Morecambe.
