Tribute paid to '˜bubbly' Lancashire teacher Claire Addington
The funeral of mum-of-one Claire Addington, who was described as an ‘inspirational’ teacher, took place yesterday.
Mrs Addington grew up in the city and attended Our Lady’s High School and Newman College.
It is understood her parents live in Fulwood.

Hide AdThe teacher, who lived in Barnoldswick with her family and worked at Fisher More RC High School in Colne, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday as the school broke for half term.
She was discovered by her husband Gavin, who is also a teacher, after taking the day off to recover from a virus.
Lancashire Police said there are “no suspicious circumstances”. The coroner has been informed.
The dedicated Roman Catholic, who taught religious education, is survived by her six-year-old daughter Grace.

Hide AdThe school’s headteacher Clare Hayes paid tribute to Mrs Addington, describing her as a “special person”.
Ms Hayes said: “News of Claire’s death has come as a tremendous shock.
“Everyone at school - staff, parents and pupils are extremely upset. Claire was a greatly valued member of our staff and was well-loved by us all, but especially by the children.
“Claire had a very caring and positive attitude to everyone, with a bright and bubbly personality. She always had a smile on her face and spoke highly of everyone around her, as they did of her.”
