An exit roundabout on the northbound M6 has been partially blocked after a lorry overturned last night.

Debris was spilled across the road after the lorry crashed late yesterday evening.

A diversion is currently in place for traffic leaving the roundabout at junction 35 for Carnforth, say NW Motorway Police.

Drivers are advised to use the A601(M) northbound, making a u-turn at the A6 and returning to the roundabout to bypass the incident.

The lorry is currently being righted.

Nobody was injured during the incident.
