THE family of a retired teacher who died after a road accident have paid tribute to her.
Wendy Hartley, 63, of Cabus, near Garstang, was the passenger in a purple Citroen Saxo car, which was in collision with a Suzuki 4x4 on the A586 Blackpool Road, St Michaels, near Garstang.
She died a short time later in Royal Preston Hospital.
She had been travelling with her husband.
A statement from her family said: “Wendy was a retired supply teacher, having worked for many years in the Garstang and Preston areas.
“Above all she was a much loved wife to Bill for nearly 40 years, and a loving daughter, mother and grandmother, who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.”
