A teenage girl was rescued after she fell on the canal bank at Lancaster.

Specialist rope rescue firefighters from Morecambe and Lancaster, as well as from St Annes, were called in to help with the rescue near Ashton Road at around 10am on Monday (September 4).

The girl was taken to hospital by ambulance.
