BLAZE an ambitious youth-led culture and sport participation programme is on the lookout for talented performers to take part in an exciting programme of events this summer.
Auditions are to be held for physical performers interested in performing with the Boom Bike Big Band.
The band, which is the brainchild of Ulverston artist and musician, Dan Fox, consists of a pedal and solar-powered mobile sound system. The multi-functional device, mounted on a bike, includes inputs for microphones and other external devices such as mp3 players, mobile phones, laptops, musical instruments and DJ decks.
Dan has teamed up with Morecambe community organisation, More Music, to create a band that will accompany the bike and perform at Blaze’s summer events, which takes place at various locations across Lancashire between July and September.
Physical performers interested in performing with the band are needed, including free runners, dancers, acrobats, BMXers and skateboarders.
The deadline for anyone wishing to take on these roles is July 18.
