Charity dance-a-thon

Boogie on down to The Platform in Morecambe to take part in a charity sweatfest. The pink and panting sweatfest takes place on Sunday, November 3, 10am until 1pm. A £10 entry fee is donated to charity. To book call Mandi Davidson on 01524 734729.

New village hall to be officially opened

A new village hall will be officially opened in Ellel this Friday, October 11.

The new building, on an attractive open site, offers the highest modern standards as a facility for the whole community, with a catering kitchen, licensed bar and ample space for social, educational and cultural activities for public and private occasions. Guests at the ceremony will include representatives of the major funders, including the Big Lottery Fund, Lancashire Environmental Fund, Village SOS, Entrust, Garfield Weston, and Ellel Parish Council.
