SLIDESHOW - Olympic torch passes through Carnforth

People turned out in their thousands to line the streets and cheer on the specially chosen torchbearers, despite the constant downpour.

The torch was carried from Carnforth, through Bolton-le-Sands, Hest Bank, Morecambe, and then on to Lancaster via Our Lady’s Catholic College, where the parade stopped for lunch in front of hundreds of excited children.
