A sought-after art and craft show is back by popular demand and will showcase some of the most talented artists across the district.

Organisers Hopeful and Glorious are delighted to bring back Summer Craft Sunday to Scorton, near Garstang, after the success of last year’s event.

An array of arts and crafts will be on display at Scorton Village Hall on August 23.

The event drew good audiences last year and much of the work at this year’s event is inspired by nature and the environment.

Hopeful and Glorious, which is based in Churchtown, near Garstang, aims to raise the profile of the 16 artists’ art across Lancashire.

Artists from Garstang, Chorley, Catforth, Lytham, Barrowford, Blackburn and Fleetwood will be showing their work at the event which has free admission for visitors.

Gordon, from Hopeful and Glorious, said: “We are delighted to return to Scorton this Summer, we had such a warm and friendly welcome last year at our first event.

“Summer Craft Sunday is the perfect event to meet artists, see beautiful, original art and craft and buy a special item to treasure forever.

“We work with amazing jewellers, textile and glass designer-makers, ceramicists, sculptors, artists, designers and makers to bring together the best of British art and craft.”
