Morecambe’s volunteer RNLI lifeboat crew are looking for men and women volunteers, aged 17 to 40 years, to join their shore crew with a view to training them to become full crew members on the Inshore Lifeboat and Inshore Rescue

hovercraft.

Previous nautical experience, though useful, is not necessary as full training will be given. A good sense of humour, a desire to learn new skills in a team environment and a willingness to respond 24/7 to save lives in and around Morecambe Bay is essential.

Interested candidates should live or work within 10 minutes travel time from Morecambe Lifeboat station and be prepared to regularly attend crew training on Wednesday evenings and occasional weekends.

In return, they can expect to experience the satisfaction of being part of a dedicated team of volunteers serving the community.
