LANCASTER Castle was transformed into an 18th century garrison when His Majesty’s 22nd Regiment of Foot set up camp there over the Bank Holiday Weekend.

The regiment, which recreates the life of ordinary British soldiers during the American War of Independence, marched through the city and gave colourful demonstrations at Lancaster City Museum, Lancaster Maritime Museum and the Judges’ Lodgings Museum.
